Built on hustle & faith.

Founded in 2020 with the vision to raise the bar for the industry standard for freight and logistics — and family-owned ever since.

After more than ten years in the transportation and logistics industry, John Kuhlmann, president and founder of Heartland Logistics Group, and Scott Erickson, vice president and co-founder, recognized the gaps in the industry. On a mission to create end-to-end supply chain solutions through full-service third-party logistics, the two founded Heartland Logistics Group in 2020.

Driven by hustle, hard work and faith in what we’re doing, we’re continuing to raise the bar for the industry standard in transportation and logistics by redefining relationships between our customers, carriers and employees.

John started in logistics in 2008, where he learned the industry and what it was lacking — inspiring him to offer a better way with Heartland Logistics Group, founded in 2020.

Scott’s logistics experience began in 2005, and he specializes in agriculture transportation — from harvest to farm deliveries and everything in between.

Founded in September 2020, in the midst of covid — and grown, in just a few years, into a team that moves freight at real scale.

    Versatile open-deck solutions for demanding loads — Conestogas, step decks, stretch, double drops, lowboys and removable goose necks, with escort cars and route planning for oversized freight.

  • Expedited Shipping

    Ground expedited solutions using sprinter vans, hotshots, box trucks and domestic air, with dedicated capacity and real-time tracking to meet urgent timelines.
